Jurlique is ready for a beautiful future

Having moved into a new manufacturing facility last year, Jurlique can increase its production capacity as well as elevate its R&D department, whose assignments at the Natural Beauty Plant included updating the Herbal Recovery Signature range introduced over 20 years ago.

The best-selling skincare line embodies the Australian brand's belief in nature's healing power. Founded in 1985 by Jürgen Klein, a biochemist, and his wife Ulrike, a botanist, Jurlique combines herbal medicine and homeopathy in making beauty products.

The German founders moved from their homeland to South Australia's Adelaide Hills, where they grew their own herbs via sustainable organic and biodynamic farming.

The Mediterranean climate, rich soil and unpolluted environment along with biodynamic farming in harmony with cycles of the Sun, Moon, planets and stars create optimal conditions for the growth of plants, whose healing energy are captured in Jurlique's natural skincare products.

Herbal Recovery Signature has been reformulated with tripled the original dose of Viola tricolour and enriched with yarrow extracts.

The medicinal plants are grown, harvested and extracted at the Jurlique Farm located near the Natural Beauty Plant in the Adelaide Hills.

Viola tricolour has long been a remedy against skin diseases due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Yarrow is traditionally used for its wound-healing effect, which is reflected in the botanical name Achillea millefolium, as Greek warrior Achilles used yarrow leaves to treat injured soldiers during the Trojan War.

The upgraded Herbal Recovery Signature Serum also contains an extract from red clover flower grown on the Jurlique Farm as well as other botanical ingredients, each selected to address a specific sign of ageing skin.

Other products in the collection include mist, lotion, moisturiser and eyecream, perfumed to evoke the scent of the Adelaide Hills.

Maintenance mainstay

The sophisticated skincare routine can involve up to 10 or more steps, but by no means skip applying the mainstay serum.

Facial serums are relatively the costliest compared to other types of skincare products. The higher-pricing is due to the concentration of active ingredients and innovative delivery system that make serums a potent targeted treatment for skin rejuvenation.

Common skin concerns such as dark spots, dehydration, enlarged pores, loss of firmness and wrinkles can be treated with a specific formula while multiple problems require layering starting with the lightest-textured serum, or slap on a multitasker to lessen the steps.
