Jurgen Klopp told what he should do after Liverpool exit by former Borussia Dortmund favourite

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been told that he has nothing left to prove in the club game having now won the Premier League League title, and should become German national team manager once his time at Anfield comes to an end.

Klopp is under contract on Merseyside until 2024, and is expected to at least see out that period. Doing so would make his Liverpool career the longest spell he has stayed at one club.

But Neven Subotic, who was a key player for Klopp at both Mainz and Borussia Dortmund, wants his former boss to coach Germany in future.

"Jurgen Klopp should become national coach at some point, absolutely - and then win the World Cup with Germany," Subotic told CHECK24, via the Daily Express.

"As far as success is concerned, there is definitely nothing left, not even for Kloppo."

Subotic, now at Union Berlin, also added that Klopp's achievements with Liverpool go far beyond just winning silverware for the Reds.

He said: "Through Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool also invited new people to get excited about football. And that is also a feat.

"There is a lot of hope in this idea, which Jurgen Klopp lives with his team and which goes beyond European sports culture."
