Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that his team's clash with Manchester United is still a huge fixture and that it would be sad if it wasn't treated as such anymore.
Erik ten Hag's men travel to Anfield on Sunday looking to do the double over the Merseyside club. Earlier this season, a 2-1 victory over their old rivals proved to be the catalyst for United's campaign.
Since that victory in August, the Reds have only lost four times in all competitions with the last defeat coming to leaders Arsenal back in January. Despite an improvement in form, Liverpool remain off the pace in the Premier League sitting ten points behind United in sixth.

When asked if the fixture against United was still special, Klopp was adamant that it is and 'thanked God' that it still is. He explained: "We can cut it into pieces.
"Three points, that is pretty much the only normal stuff like in other games, three points, but the moment when Liverpool versus Manchester United is not a special game any more then something went really wrong. Liverpool versus Man United: Who? That would be really difficult, that would be really sad.
"I love football, I love the fuss we make of it, most of the time at least, and then it is like, Liverpool v United I want to see it. It has to be like that otherwise football would have absolutely no right to exist any more.
"Again? Really? And how are they are doing?
"People want to know and need to know what both clubs are doing. That is why I have no problem with them, particularly.
"It is a big game and it always was in my life a big game - since I was allowed to watch it on television it always was. Thank God it is still one."
