Jurgen Klopp tells potential summer signings what to expect at Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is gearing up for the Champions League final against Tottenham Hotspur but it won’t be his only focus.

The domestic transfer window in England is already open, meaning deals with Premier League and EFL sides can be completed, while FIFA’s transfer window for international deals opens in early June.

Granted, the Reds are expected to have a quieter market this summer, after a huge investment in players last time out.

Nevertheless, Klopp still needs to add to his squad ahead of next season in what could be an extremely busy summer for several other big clubs, as the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are said to be eyeing a rebuild.

That could lead to plenty of drama in the market and Liverpool could find themselves front and centre as they seek to secure additions that can help push towards Premier League glory next season.

There has already been a number of players linked with a move to Anfield and Klopp has provided an insight into what can be expected for those who move to Merseyside.

“When a new player is coming in, I don’t give them any information. I let them play, I learn about what is good naturally and what we want to adjust,” he told the club’s official website.

“You learn more about your players each day, how to treat them and how to deal with them, a lot happens with one talk actually, whether that’s with the player or with the team.

“All in all, you try to help 11 players do the right things in the right moment.”

On top of that, those looking for an extra push can find it from Klopp on the sidelines, as he went on to explain.

“There are two reasons why I am so energetic on the sideline. One is my character, I’m already much calmer than I used to be to be honest,” he added.

“I’m kind of the reserve tank for the boys. If the energy levels go down, I’m still there for the boys. It’s better to be angry with me than think ‘it’s too intense today’.

“You need a response, I needed it as a player as well.”
