Yves Bissouma has been one of Brighton's most consistent performers this season.
The Malian international's impressive form has seen him catce the eye of both Liverpool and Arsenal, who will battle it out for the midfielder's signature come the summer transfer window, according to reports.
Bissouma's recent run of form has been so good, that Jurgen Klopp has reportedly taken to personally researching the Brighton star to determine how well he would slot in to the set-up at Anfield as the Reds look to bounce back from a disastrous campaign which could still see them finish outside of the top four.
Brighton are rumoured to have come to terms with the fact Bissouma's future ultimately lay away from the Amex and with just two years left on his current contract, Graham Potter's side may opt to cash in on their asset rather than risk losing him for free in the future.
Arsenal's local rivals Tottenham have registered an interest, along with Everton and West Ham - but according to a recent Daily Star report, Arsenal are 'confident' of signing the Mali international in a £30m deal when the transfer window opens at the end of the season.
The Gunners may see themselves as boasting an advantage in the race for his signature, given that Bissouma's former Lille teammates Gabriel and Nicolas Pepe are already playing at the Emirates.
Bissouma may have dropped a subtle hint as to where he plans on moving to, after the midfielder was caught viewing an Instagram story regarding the aforementioned reports that Arsenal are winning the race for his signature.
Liverpool see Bissouma as an ideal replacement for the departing Gini Wijnaldum, but Jurgen Klopp wishes to explore the Malian's character before a deal goes further.
Bissouma is thought to have already informed the Brighton board of his wish to leave in the summer, with the player more inclined to choose Arsenal - the club he supported as a child.
He has opted to avoid commenting on the relentless talk around his future, explaining: "I don’t have much to say about that [transfer speculation] because I’m at Brighton for the moment," Bissouma said.
"I consider myself a Brighton player, so the most important thing right now, as I said, is to stay up.
"We’ll try and stay up, and God willing, we’ll see how things go next season."
