Jurgen Klopp suggests two players will make Liverpool even better next season

Jurgen Klopp says two players who "didn't play that much" in Liverpool title triumph will be able to add even more to the Reds next season.

Liverpool picked up the club's first league title in 30 years on Wednesday night following a thrilling 5-3 victory over Chelsea at Anfield.

Naby Keita scored the opening goal to continue his impressive form since the Premier League's restart, and Klopp says he and Curtis Jones - who made his fifth appearance the season against Chelsea , thereby earning at Premier League medal - will add more to his team going forward.

“Each player who played now the majority of the games can improve, that’s how it is," he told reporters.

“The age group they are in, making better decisions, being clearer in whatever they do.

“Other players, they didn’t play that much, Naby is a good example of that, Curtis Jones is a good example of that - we don’t want to make it too big but he looks like kind of ready as well!

“That means we have space and we have potential for improvement and we will work on that. Obviously not tonight anymore but from whenever on.

“Now we have a party, then we have to recover, then we play Newcastle. We have 96 points and it would obviously be really nice if we could get 99.

“It will be difficult but who cares – tonight it was very difficult because Chelsea was so good and the boys did it anyway.”

Klopp was delighted that families were allowed into the stadium to watch the celebrations from a distance following a late change of heart.

“It was absolutely great, absolutely great. It made it even more special that the families could be in the stadium," he said.

“They were not allowed for the game, but for the trophy lift it was allowed. We knew they were in the stadium, but because of the lights we didn’t see them, but I knew my family – which I didn’t see for a pretty long time – was here tonight which made it even more special because you want to share these moments with loved ones.

“All my loved ones were around me with the players, the staff and the people I work with. My family means a lot to me, so it was really, really special in that moment."
