Jurgen Klopp singled out Adama Traore for special message after Liverpool beat Wolves

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was full of praise for Wolves following the Reds' 2-1 victory at Molineux on Thursday night.

But there was one man in particular who caught his eye: Adama Traore.

The Barcelona graduate has struggled to find his feet in football in recent years, with average spells at both Aston Villa and Middlesbrough before signing for Wolves.

At Molineux he is starting to develop into a top drawer performer and Liverpool struggled to handle him for large spells of their Thursday victory.

After the match Klopp was full of praise for Nuno Espirito Santo and his Wolves side.

"We changed the system two or three times, we calmed it down," said Klopp. "We had incredible chances in the first half and then at the end it was a magic moment from Bobby.

"The boys are human. It was a little bit up and down. We had discussion on the pitch, there was stuff to improve but set-pieces can bring us back in the game, a good bit of skill can bring us back in the game. Wolves were really strong but it's clear we could settle again.

"You just have to find a way to win and have someone who makes the perfect decision and that was Bobby again."

But the Liverpool boss reserved special praise for Traore, picking him out among the Wolves squad as the club's star performer on the night.

"He is unplayable in moments, it's unbelievable," said Liverpool manager Klopp. "What a player – it's not only him but he's so good."

Traore was equally congratulatory of Liverpool, saying: "We don't forget they are a great team, an amazing team and one of the best - or the best in Europe. Congratulations to them, how they are going in the league but we fight. We will fight to the end."
