Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been sent a special message of congratulations by a man who has followed his managerial career intently.
Guido Schäfer played with Klopp - and his former assistant Zeljko Buvac - during their time at German club Mainz 05, and knows the German well.
Schäfer said: "Hello, Reds, and good luck and congrats Jurgen Klopp for this great victory!
"He is the normal one but the success is not normal - it is outstanding.

"Jurgen, we played together for Mainz 05 thirty years ago. Congrats - you deserve all of this.

"He is a lovely guy and and a successful guy also."
Schäfer, who is now a journalist in Leipzig, was delighted to see his former teammate win the league.
The title, won in record time, with seven matches still to be played this campaign, was the third occasion that Klopp had become a first division champion, having won the Bundesliga twice with previous club Borussia Dortmund.
