Jurgen Klopp's wife went to incredible lengths to watch Liverpool Champions League parade

Liverpool fans took to the streets of the city in their thousands on Sunday to welcome the Reds players home.

Jurgen Klopp's side won the Champions League against Tottenham in Madrid on Saturday, and the trophy was paraded from a bus in Liverpool the following afternoon.

Klopp caught the eye of the Liverpool supporters as he sat on top of the bus swigging from a bottle of lager, enjoying every moment of the celebration.

"You can't really describe it," he said, while on the bus. "I cried as well, it's touching. Thank God the weather changed too. I'm having a wonderful time here."

But it turns out that it wasn't just the man himself having the time of his life while getting into the spirit of things in Liverpool on Sunday.

His better half also appeared to enjoy her afternoon.

Klopp's wife Ulla Sandrock is often spotted in the stands at Anfield cheering on the boys in Red.

But on Sunday she was photographed standing atop a dustbin in the city to get a better look at the bus as it drove past.

Klopp is in the process of signing a new deal at Anfield after his European success.

The Reds' principle owner John Henry, chairman Tom Werner and director Michael Gordon want to tie the German down for the long-term and create another Liverpool dynasty.

Klopp still has three years left on his current contract, and said himself recently that there is no rush extending it.

But it seems the board consider him to be one of the best managers in the world, and are looking to improve his wage to fend off any possible suitors.
