Liverpool head to Leeds without Brazilian trio
Liverpool’s Brazilian trio of Alisson Becker, Fabinho, and Roberto Firmino are all banned for this weekend’s clash against Leeds.
The Reds' refusal to release the players so they could play for their national side has seen the Brazilian Football Federation hit back and ask FIFA to invoke their “five-day rule.”
Firmino’s injury means he wasn’t going to be involved in the trip to Leeds anyway, but the potential losses of Alisson and Fabinho is huge.
The ECHO understands that Liverpool will now work out what to do next but are of the belief that the aforementioned players should be allowed to play for the club.

Fan reaction to ban
It’s not just the club who are determined to see the three players play against Leeds this weekend.
Fans have voiced their opinion on the matter and have taken to social media to announce their displeasure at the decision.
From an “absolute nonsense” to “absolutely ridiculous,” Reds supporters are furious with the impending ban.
Had Liverpool allowed the players to travel, under UK government rules they would have had to quarantine for 10 days upon their arrival back to the UK which would have seen them miss the next four games.

Liverpool reveal Nike third kit
On a happier note, Liverpool released their third kit for the 2021/2022 season.
A yellow kit has not been worn since the 2014/2015 season. But the colour is best associated with the 1980s.
The trim of the collar and sleeves is red and yellow, inspired by the chequered flags that were waved by supporters in the 1977 European Cup final victory over Borussia Monchengladbach in Rome.
