Jurgen Klopp's selection headache as Liverpool injury boost spotted in training ahead of Arsenal

Jurgen Klopp is set to welcome back a key player for Liverpool's Premier League clash against Arsenal on Saturday night.

The Reds have been without Roberto Firmino for their last three games across all competitions due to a knock, as confirmed by the German ahead of his side's 1-0 win over Wolves before the international break.

"We will see. Bobby was not with us, that means he couldn’t play," Klopp said. “Now we have a few more days and later on, we have the medical meeting actually after the press conference – sorry! – so they will give me more information about that.

"We will see, two more days, hopefully.

“[It] looks like in the moment [everybody else is fit]."

Firmino ended up missing the trip to Molinuex, but the good news for the Merseyside outfit is that he could return to action against Arsenal.

As reported by The Athletic, Firmino is back in training at Kirkby and is also in contention for the game at the Emirates Stadium.

This boost was later confirmed when the Brazilian was spotted at the club's AXA Training Centre on Monday alongside the likes of Alisson, Fabinho, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Whilst Firmino has not been in great goalscoring form for Liverpool this season, his partnership with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in attack has caused problems for Arsenal in the past.

Worryingly for the Gunners, the Brazilian has scored eight times in 11 Premier League appearances against them - although only one has come at the Emirates.

With that said, Firmino may not be in line for an automatic recall as Diogo Jota could keep his place after netting the winner against Wolves and scoring twice for Portugal against Serbia at the weekend.
