Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool promise which should concern Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United and Tottenham

Liverpool came very close to a Premier League and Champions League double last season.

The Reds were imperious for much of the 2018/2019 campaign, amassing an astonishing 97 points, but ultimately falling short of the title which was won by Pep Guardiola's Manchester City on the final day.

They did have the solace of beating Tottenham Hotspur to bring home the biggest prize in European football last month.

For the chasing pack to prevent another two-horse race for the title in the upcoming season then either Liverpool or Man City's level will have to drop or the other must improve.

Ominously, Jurgen Klopp insists his side are hungry for more success.

"Nobody should be worried about us being complacent,' said Klopp, as per the Daily Mail. "There are so many reasons for staying greedy. We tried so many things to win and finally it worked out.

"The Champions League is the biggest cup that I see in football apart from the World Cup. Absolutely massive. But you now want to have it all the time.

"Nobody should be worried. Nobody is satisfied and we are not ready to go home. We have won something and got it in our trophy cupboard but our attitude does not change.

"I couldn't have imagined it when we sang the year before at the funeral party that, 'We bring it back to Liverpool!' and it would work out.

"We got there. So let's try to get there again next season.

"We will not even think about stopping."

This is a major warning to Arsenal, Spurs, Manchester United as well as Chelsea and any other teams trying to make it into the top four,or even challenge for the Premier League title in 2019/2020.
