Jurgen Klopp has been shown just who his key defensive player is - as a problem Jamie Carragher pointed out a year ago remains unsolved.
It comes after Liverpool played out a pulsating 2-2 draw with Chelsea on Sunday.
Mateo Kovacic and Christian Pulisic capped a stunning opening 45 minutes as they struck in quick succession to cancel out early goals from Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
The game showed two things to Jurgen Klopp – who he can always rely on in defence and that his side still have a very particular problem when it comes to scoring goals.
And with the January transfer window now open, Liverpool's dream line-up come the end of the month has been revealed.
Here are Mirror Football's latest Liverpool headlines.

Dream line-up revealed
The Reds could enter the January transfer market to address a couple of issues within their squad.
With a number of stars departing for the Africa Cup of Nations, holes have appeared with Jurgen Klopp in need of finding solutions without being able to rely on Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita.
Mirror Football has taken a look at the Reds' dream starting XI if they pull off the perfect transfer window – and the worst case scenario should one big star leave.
Key defensive star emerges
Liverpool were left disappointed after squandering a two-goal lead against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
It was the latest in a number of similar results this season, with Jurgen Klopp's side having now dropped points from five league games where they have led.
The result has seen them lose ground on Premier League table-toppers Manchester City as they fell 11 points behind Pep Guardiola's side, although with one game in hand.
And their latest result shows that a missing star is the key player for the Reds defensive record – and they lack control in midfield without him.
Goalscorer 'problem' laid bare
Jamie Carragher told Jurgen Klopp what his "big problem" is more than a year ago – and yet the issue remains unsolved.
Two familiar names got themselves on the scoresheet for the Reds against Chelsea as Sadio Mane latched onto a loose ball to slot home before Mo Salah's disguised finish beat Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy at his near post.
But beyond Mane and Salah, who will now both depart for the Africa Cup of Nations, club icon Carragher believes the club lack goalscorers in other areas of the pitch.
The former defender believes that leaves the Reds relying on Mane and Salah – although he has offered a potential solution who is already a part of Jurgen Klopp's squad.
