Jurgen Klopp's explicit assessment of Liverpool win at Chelsea

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp gave a cheeky assessment of his side's win at Chelsea to American TV.

The Reds secured a vital 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge on Sunday with goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold and Roberto Firmino.

And speaking to NBC television after the match, Klopp could not resist using a word usually only heard after the watershed.

Former Chelsea star Graeme Le Saux, working as a pundit for NBC Sports, questioned Klopp about the drop-off in the second half that saw the home side turn the screw.

He asked: "Did you feel [Liverpool] were a little bit passive? Got a little bit deeper and invited a little bit of pressure?"

Klopp said: "It's not the first time that we go 2-0 up.

"But three ex pros, you know...2-0 can be a b**ch!

"Especially away from home."

Liverpool were 2-0 in front at the break, but found themselves pegged back by a superb solo effort from N'Golo Kante with 71 minutes on the clock.

Chelsea remained on top for the rest of the match but could not break through a resolute Reds defence.

Klopp's men restored their five-point lead at the summit of the Premier League table, delivering a defiant response after Man City thrashed Watford 8-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The Reds now face a midweek League Cup clash away to MK Dons before a trip to Sheffield United early on Saturday.

Klopp will be hoping his side can extend their 15-game winning streak in the top flight and continue to pile the pressure on Pep Guardiola's side
