Jurgen Klopp reveals early Liverpool FC team news vs Manchester United

Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Liverpool could welcome back three injured stars for this weekend's big clash with Manchester United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer takes his United side to Anfield on Sunday as the only team to have taken points off runaway league leaders Liverpool this season.

United will still be major underdogs, however, and Liverpool could be boosted by potential returns for key trio Joel Matip, Fabinho and Dejan Lovren.

Klopp revealed all three players will be back in training this week ready to potentially play a part against United.

"I wait really until they are on the pitch and somebody tells me they are allowed to do the full session," Klopp told his club's official website.

"It looks like Joel will be in, it looks like Fabinho will be in maybe a day later, I'm not sure. Dejan, maybe he can be in as well.

"That means a lot and helps massively of course. But we will see how it looks. The week is very important.

"The game on Sunday against United, we all know what people expect from us from that game. It will be a big one as well and we try to be ready for that."

Despite Liverpool's impeccable form this season, Klopp has a poor record against United. The German manager has only won twice in 10 meetings with the Merseysiders' arch rivals since he was appointed in October 2015.

The clash between the sides earlier in the season finished 1-1 — the only Premier League game this season that Liverpool have failed to win.
