Jurgen Klopp responds to suggestion Liverpool may be forced to play at neutral venues

Jurgen Klopp has promised Liverpool supporters that they will get a title celebration one day, adding that they will approach the remainder of the season as "adults" wherever they are told to play their matches.

The Reds are just two results away from a first top-flight league title in 30 years, and could even seal it in their first match back against Everton on the weekend of June 20.

If the league isn't secured there, there have been suggestions that some of the Reds' games at Anfield could be switch to neutral venues to avoid the risk of supporters breaching social distancing guidelines, but Klopp says he's not too concerned about where his side play.

“In this moment, so many people understand it if we think ‘this year it happens to us and we cannot celebrate here or celebrate there’,” Klopp told The Anfield Wrap.

He added: “Honestly, when I say that there are more [important] things to worry about, I mean it.

“If people say we cannot play at Anfield because our supporters will go there, come on, we are all adults.

“We love each other, that’s clear. But if it’s not allowed, or that’s the only chance that we will be able to play or games will not happen, of course we will not show up there.

“We want to win it, and not to celebrate it now or yesterday or whatever. We want to celebrate it together in the moment, when that’s possible, we go again, 100 per cent, with all we have.

“One million, two million, three million, five million, who cares, we’ll be there.

"But until then, we stick to the rules, do what is appropriate and that’s all, because it’s not the last time that we will celebrate something together.”
