Jurgen Klopp responds to Solskjaer's plan for Manchester United against Liverpool FC

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has responded to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's claims that Manchester United have found a "nice way" of playing against his side.

United are the only team to take points from Liverpool in the Premier League this season following a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford back in December.

The Reds have lost just once in their last 11 league meetings against the Merseyside club, coming at Anfield last season when Jose Mourinho was in the dugout.

Solskjaer said prior to the win against Wolves: "Of course it's hard. But I've had Liverpool here twice and we've drawn both. You want to win those games but we've found a nice way of playing against them and deserved the points in both of them.

"Let's just wait and see."

Liverpool have won every Premier League game since the draw against United, keeping six consecutive clean sheets in recent weeks.

Klopp was asked about Solskjaer's comments and questioned whether his team had found a nice way of playing against United.

"Hopefully," he replied with a smirk. "I don't know about results but in games with United and Liverpool, there have been good times for both.

"Not always one clear favourite - both teams try to win it.

"Last two years away games were strange. I don't know if I said United always defend but I probably did.

"Against Spurs we had 80% possession after 70 minutes, that is not normal. I don't say [Man Utd] only counter-attack and it is not a criticism, just a description."
