Jurgen Klopp reaffirms commitment to Liverpool amid Bayern Munich rumours

Jurgen Klopp has reaffirmed his commitment to Liverpool amid suggestions that Bayern Munich remain keen on securing his services this summer.

The German has a history with his homeland's premier club which began when he lost out on the top job to Jurgen Klinsmann after leaving Mainz 05 in 2008.

Bayern were subsequently made to regret their failure to appoint Klopp, who instead went to Borussia Dortmund to win Bundesliga titles in both 2011 and 2012.

Rumours of the Bavarian outfit's desire to correct their error have persisted since, while Liverpool's recent Champions League win over Niko Kovac's men serving to add fuel to the fire.

But Klopp, whose Reds contract will have another three years to run at the end of the season, is focused only on matters at Anfield for now.

Klopp had 'no doubts' over Salah

He told Die Welt: "I have a contract at Liverpool until 2022.

"And no one here has the feeling that we should end it – neither from the side of the owner nor my side."

Asked if he might consider a move to the Allianz Arena when his deal with Liverpool expires, Klopp added: "I do not know.

"There’s a long way to go. Basically, football is like this: The opportunity has to be right, and the timing has to be right.

"But I’m totally happy here and do not feel like I’m finished here. Our team has a good age structure and we can work together for a while."
