Jurgen Klopp predicts how many points Man City will get in Premier League 'title race'

Liverpool expect Manchester City to take maximum points from their remaining 10 games, manager Jurgen Klopp admits.

City have led the way in the Premier League since December, and at one point looked like running away with the title, but Liverpool have pulled the Blues back and sit just three points behind after beating Brighton on Saturday.

For now, both sides have played the same amount of games, but City's fixture at Crystal Palace on Monday will give Liverpool back their game in hand, which they play against Arsenal on Wednesday. If Liverpool keep winning - including against City at the Etihad next month - they will be level on points and they currently have a marginally better goal difference.

Speaking after the Brighton win, Klopp praised his side's professional display but revealed that they expect City to win every game they play in the final 10 games of the season. If they do that, City will be champions on 99 points, while Liverpool will have fallen agonisingly short again - with a maximum of 93 points on the assumption they lose at the Etihad.

As a result, Klopp repeated his claim that they cannot be considered to be in a title race, which was his message before the win at the Amex Stadium.

Speaking to BT Sport, Klopp said: "It's not our job to call it like that [a title race]. It’s always the same, City plays, I don't know when, Monday 8pm? You expect Manchester City to win every game when you watch them play. As long as we are behind them we don't really feel it.

“The only thing we can feel is as win as many football games as somehow possible. I can see that on the boys' faces and body language. We’re ready, we don’t need to call it a title race, we just want to win games.”
