Jurgen Klopp has ruled out a move for Lorenzo Insigne this summer as the Liverpool boss played down talk of a big spending spree.
Reports in Italy have linked the Reds with the Napoli striker but the manager is adamant that the Italian isn't on his list of targets.
“Okay, we will not sign Lorenzo Insigne,” Klopp said.

“He's a very good player but I guess he has a long-term contract at Napoli and we will not even try it. That's all I can say about that.”
Asked how he went about improving a squad which has secured a club record Premier League points tally this season, Klopp said: “It's always more difficult the better your team gets.
“It's a good sign. Transfers aren't there to excite the people out there: 'Wow, a new player!'
“The job is to improve the team and there are different ways of doing that. With training is actually the best way to do that.
“If you have to sign someone then you sign someone. The team is pretty well balanced and that's how it is.

“Our plans are not for the public. Will it be the biggest transfer window of LFC? No, probably not, but then I think you would have been surprised if I had said yes.
“If they don't do it at the end (win the title) then we'll sell them all! That's a nice idea! Our eyes are always open but what happens and when, there's nothing to say about that in this moment.”
