Jurgen Klopp is reportedly open to idea of signing Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for the France international for some time, but have never made an official bid for the forward.
The Reds have already signed Takumi Minamino this January, spending just £7.25million on the highly-rated Japanese international.
But reports in Spain suggest the German hasn't wrapped up his business for the month, and is considering a big-money move for £85million-rated Dembele.
According to ElDesmarque, the Liverpool manager is 'keen' on a transfer for the Frenchman, who has made just nine appearances for Barcelona in all competitions this season.
Big things were expected from Dembele when he was signed from Dortmund as a replacement for Neymar, but he's fallen down the pecking order at Barcelona in recent seasons.
Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Antoine Griezmann are all ahead of the Frenchman.
A transfer to Liverpool does seem unlikely given Klopp's previous comments on not making big-money signings this January.
Liverpool are also looking to integrate Minamino into the squad, and signing a huge name like Dembele would surely be counterintuitive.
Klopp's Anfield giants have also been linked with a move for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir this week.
Turkish publication Karadeniz Gazetesi, via Sport Witness, claim Liverpool are open to swapping out-of-favour Loris Karius plus £8.5million for the 23-year-old.
