Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has admitted it will be difficult to improve their squad in the transfer market and wants to leave the door open for his fringe players.
The Reds are not expected to invest heavily this summer after clinching their first Premier League title.
Due to the effects of COVID-19, Liverpool will be less active in the transfer market, having already passed on signing Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.
Curtis Jones and Neco Williams are two young stars that have emerged into the first-team this season and have been afforded more Premier League minutes since the title was won.
With the current financial climate of the club, Klopp has revealed he isn't expecting massive changes and instead wants to offer an opportunity to his older and younger players.
"I'd like to leave the door open for players," Klopp told BT Sport.
"Whether that's young players or experienced players who didn't play exactly as much as they maybe wanted, it's difficult to answer the question because of how the situation is.
"If there is an opportunity for us then we will try to improve the squad but I don't know if it's possible, it's really hard to improve the group.
"With a team like us, how can you buy a player with the same quality as Bobby (Firmino) or Sadio (Mane), it's not possible."
