Jurgen Klopp says that leaving out good players on match days has just become part of the game at Liverpool, as the Reds continue to fight for silverware on four fronts.
Recently, the German has had to leave out a number of match day regulars and even had the luxury of calling upon a fulling fit squad last week, with the likes of Divock Origi, Joes Gomez, Curtis Jones and Takumi Minamino all missing the cut.
But when asked in his pre-match press conference, ahead of the Reds' Premier League home match against Norwich City on Saturday, how difficult he finds telling players they are not in the squad, Klopp explained how it is simply something he has to deal with as the manager of a club at the highest level.

He said: "I'm not sure it's the hardest part, but it's the part I like the least.
"It's easier when the boys give you reasons, like spending three nights in a bar or whatever, pictures in a pub, stuff like this - we've never had that so I cannot use that!
"None of these players deserved it (being left out) so far. It's not that you think 'that's easy'.
"All the decisions are very difficult and yes, I do not like that, but it's part of the game and the business. Still, there might be a chance that you start next week. That's how it is, so you better keep yourself in a good place.
"Be angry with me, no problem. Be disappointed, no problem. But next day, show up and be the best version of yourself and go again and then you make the decisions difficult. Because if you drop in training it's not a good solution because then it goes in the wrong direction.
"It's never happened though. The group is absolutely incredible.
"But this is how it is. It will probably happen again tomorrow and again the players who want to talk to me - that happens not before the game. After we have played the game then they can come and talk but the answers are pretty easy.
"You have to make sure that you are in the squad. I am only the observer and the players have to deliver and the longer you deliver, the more likely it is or sure that your situation will change because the quality that they have."
At least one player will be back in tomorrow's first team squad after Klopp confirmed that striker Diogo Jota will miss the game against Norwich with an ankle injury.
The extent of the problem has not yet been determined with further assessment by the medical team due to take place, casting serious doubt over the Portuguese strikers potential involvement in the League Cup Final on February 27.
