Jurgen Klopp makes statement about Crystal Palace and Fulham as Liverpool beat Lincoln

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made a surprise claim about Crystal Palace in regards to the size of their changing rooms.

Klopp fielded a much-changed Liverpool team last night in the Carabao Cup as the Reds won 7-2 against Lincoln City at the LNER Stadium to set-up a fourth round tie against Arsenal next week.

While at the ground, Klopp was asked whether the changing rooms at Lincoln’s ground were the smallest he had visited since coming to English football in 2015.

Surprisingly, Klopp said they were not the smallest and that both Palace and Premier League rivals Fulham had smaller changing areas.

"Nope, the smallest is at Crystal Palace - or Fulham,” Klopp said, as published by This Is Anfield.

Liverpool cruised through to the next round of the Carabao Cup last night as Klopp make 10 changes from their 2-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday.

Curtis Jones (2), Xherdan Shaqiri, Divock Origi, Marko Grujic and Takumi Minamino (2) all got on the scoresheet for the Reds last night.

Tayo Edun and Lewis Montsma scored twice in the space of seven second half minutes for Lincoln, but those two strikes proved to be just consolations.
