Tuchel issues update on Mendy injury
Thomas Tuchel has revealed that Edouard Mendy injured his ribs in Chelsea's 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.
Mendy was replaced at half-time in the loss at Villa Park, just six days before the Blues' Champions League final with Manchester City.
Speaking after the final day of the Premier League season, Tuchel said: "It is easy to explain, he fell into the frame of the net.
"He feels a big pain in his ribs. We will have an update tomorrow with what's going on.
"We will see if it is possible (for Mendy to be fit for the final) and if it is possible, we will push to do everything so he is in goal on Saturday."

Tuchel's rage on the sidelines
Even before Chelsea fell behind against Aston Villa, the anger and frustration from Tuchel was clear to see.
As attack after attack kept collapsing, the German coach was constantly throwing his arms in the air.
There was one specific moment that really got to Tuchel - when Timo Werner picked up the ball out wide and crossed the ball into the arms of Emiliano Martinez.
Tuchel turned to Werner and was clearly furious, which would have got even worse, with Villa's next attack being a goal.

Klopp makes Chelsea final day admission
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he had no idea what was going on away from Anfield after his team secured third-place in the Premier League table.
The Reds, Chelsea and Leicester City all had the chance to finish in the top four spots on the final day of the campaign, but only the former two managed that, with the Foxes losing to Tottenham at the King Power Stadium.
Klopp, who saw his Liverpool side beat Crystal Palace 2-0 on Merseyside, was not paying attention to what was happening elsewhere, he has revealed.
"Perfect. It was windy like crazy. It's not good for football," the Reds manager said.
"We found a way into the game, scored a great goal. Do you take more risk, or control even more? The second goal was so helpful. I didn't know about other matches.
"I'm so proud of what they've done the last 10 or 15 games and the reaction of the team in bad times. Eight wins out of 10, two draws, that's impressive.
"Energy makes all the difference and we got a lot of energy from outside (the fans)."
