With temperatures hovering below 5C in Liverpool today thanks to the recent Arctic blast, Jurgen Klopp and his players were wrapped up warm on the training pitch as they began their preparations for Saturday's trip to Crystal Palace.
Klopp oversaw a session featuring players not involved on international duty, with the likes of Dejan Lovren and James Milner in action along with Jordan Henderson, who missed England's trip to Kosovo due to a virus.
The sight of the Liverpool captain back in training will be a boost to Klopp, as will the return of Xherdan Shaqiri.
The Swiss international has been out since a calf tear in late September, but is now back to boost Klopp's forward options ahead of a daunting run of winter fixtures.
Klopp has concerns elsewhere with Mohamed Salah (ankle) and Andy Robertson (ankle) both doubts for the visit to Palace, with the key duo likely to be on the bench if they are passed fit.
Liverpool head into gameweek 13 with a comfortable eight-point lead in the title race, though Klopp will be at pains to ensure that the Reds' rivals do not eat into that advantage during what could prove to be a draining festive period.
