Jurgen Klopp issues rallying cry ahead of Liverpool's title run-in

Jurgen Klopp wants his team – and their fans – to be in “fighting mood” for the final title sprint.

The Liverpool boss likens the race to be Champions with a 400 metre event and now it has entered the “last 100 metres” he says it is time to use “to go with all you have.”

In a rousing message to every member of the Anfield family ahead of another pivotal showdown with Chelsea , he said: “It is the last part of the season and use all your body, each fibre. That is what we do.

“The opponent is so strong and in a good moment. I want us all in a real fighting mood, all at Anfield and whoever is in front of the television, in a proper aggressive, fighting mood.

“Go for whatever we can go for.”

Klopp used an amusing analogy, he has explained exactly where Liverpool now are in a compelling title race. If you take a 400m metre race they are all together. After 200m there are a few more all together,” he said.

“At 300m two are together and in the last 100m you go with all you have. In the last last part of the season we have to use everything we have.”

That means pounding Chelsea from the first minute, with Klopp insisting they must make the London club feel they are facing something more difficult than they've ever faced before.

“Chelsea is in a good moment, so from the first second of the game we have to be a completely different opponent to all the others they have faced in recent weeks,” he said emphatically.

“When you analyse the West Ham and the Slavia Prague games were completely different line up wise. They made a lot of changes and were still on their toes, and will make them probably again.

“So it is not too important who plays, it is more important how WE are. How can we bring real problems to them because you don’t see that when you analyse them.”

Klopp will make changes to his line up from the Champions' League in midweek. Gini Wijnaldum, and Sadio Mane missed training in midweek, but were able to do a full session on Friday so will be fit.

Joel Matip also trained after an injury problem, but Dejan Lovren is likely to keep his place, while Andy Robertson returns after suspension.
