Jurgen Klopp is sweating on the availability of Mohamed Salah for Liverpool's Champions League clash with Barcelona – with Roberto Firmino definitely out.
Salah suffered a nasty injury after being caught on the head by the hip of onrushing Newcastle United goalkeeper Martin Dubravka during the Reds' dramatic 3-2 win at St James' Park on Saturday evening.
The Egyptian required lengthy treatment before leaving the field on a stretcher after 73 minutes, replaced by eventual matchwinner Divock Origi.
“He was on the ground and the doc had to make a decision on the pitch or off the pitch,” explained Klopp.

“The doc said off the pitch and we accept that of course.
“When Mo came in he was sitting in the dressing room and watching the game. He was then fine.
“But of course we have to wait (for Barcelona on Tuesday). He got a proper knock in that situation.”
Firmino missed the win over Newcastle having been sidelined by the small groin tear that ruled him out of last week's triumph over Huddersfield Town and restricted him to a cameo role from the bench in the 3-0 Champions League semi-final first leg defeat at Barcelona last Wednesday.

And Klopp admits the Brazilian is out of the Anfield return and may not play again this season.
“ Roberto Firmino will not be ready for Barcelona,” confirmed the Reds boss.
“Will he be back for the final week? We will see. He will not be ready for Tuesday.”
