Jurgen Klopp issues message to 'incredible' frontline staff on behalf of Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has issued a message of thanks to "unbelievable" frontline staff today.

The manager's heartfelt message was shared on Liverpool FC's official Instagram page.

In the caption accompanying the video, Liverpool said: "On  #WorldHealthDay, we once again want to thank all the health care workers around the world who are fighting day and night to keep us safe #StayHome   #StayHomeSaveLives ".

The clip shows the 52-year old German speaking directly to the camera, thanking people who work in the health services and branding them "incredible".

He said: "Hello. Myself, the staff and all the players of LFC would like to take this opportunity to deliver a message to say thank you to all the incredible people who work in the health services - all the health workers if you want, out there.

"It's unbelievable what you are doing and on behalf of all of us from LFC, I would like to say thank you.

"Or, how we would say in Germany, vielen dank."

The video has been viewed almost 150,000 times and has received hundreds of comments from fans echoing the club's sentiments.

One social media user said: "Thank you Liverpool FC for thinking about us".

Another said: "What a club. Stay safe Reds [heart emoji]".

Others commented "YNWA", or a series of red heart emojis while many praised Klopp and the club for the video.
