Jurgen Klopp identifies three Liverpool players 'he could swap' with Erling Haaland

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly considering selling at least one first-team player to fund a summer transfer for Erling Haaland.

Dortmund forward Haaland has netted a staggering 31 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions this season, including 10 in just six Champions League fixtures.

Haaland currently has no release clause, but one will become active in June 2022, which will enable clubs to sign the Norway international for just £64million.

Should Haaland still be at Dortmund at that time, then the release clause will likely be triggered by a number of top clubs and it will be anyone's guess as to where the striker ends up.

Haaland will therefore likely be the subject of hugely inflated bids this summer as teams scramble to sign him.

Liverpool are in the mix to sign Haaland, but Klopp doesn't have huge funds to work with and with no Champions League football next season a real possibility, the Reds may need to sell before they can buy.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Klopp is considering selling at least one of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

The trio has an average age of 28 and Liverpool could still get big-money from selling.

Haaland on the other hand is just 20 and would therefore by a brilliant investment; a player Liverpool can rebuild around.
