Jurgen Klopp has 'no idea' whether Mo Salah sees future at Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp admits he has "no idea" whether Mohamed Salah wants to remain at Liverpool for the next few years.

The Egyptian forward has been linked with several moves away from Anfield following a prolific two-and-a-half years in Red.

But Klopp is relaxed about the speculation insisting he doesn't constantly ask his players whether they want to stay at the club.

And he responded candidly when asked whether he thought Salah would still be at Liverpool next season: "I would think so, did you hear something different?

"How can you see the hunger to stay at Liverpool? It looks to me like he is really settled to be honest.

"I have no idea, actually, but you could ask me the same question for all the others and I have no idea. I didn't think about it until [the press] asked me.

"As long as I don't hear anything and I don't ask the players what they think of next season or in two years, for me, it looks like [he will stay].

"How long is his contract? Long? I would [think so] yes, but I have no idea."

Salah has won the Golden Boot in each of his past two seasons in England and broke the record for most goals in a season when he bagged 32 two years ago.

The 27-year-old has scored 16 this term meaning he is four away from a hat-trick of 20 goal hauls - a feat not seen on Merseyside since Robbie Fowler did so in 1997.

But those exploits have attracted admiring glances with Real Madrid and Juventus both linked with the free-scoring forward.
