Jurgen Klopp has message for Liverpool fans as Premier League title race intensifies

Jurgen Klopp loved how the Anfield crowd backed his side against Tottenham until the final seconds in a game which saw Liverpool snatch a dramatic 2-1 win.

The Reds went ahead with an early goal from Roberto Firmino before Lucas Moura equalised with around 20 minutes remaining.

It appeared as if the two sides would have to share a point leaving Klopp 's men behind Manchester City in the Premier League table on goal difference.

However the home fans kept on signing to will their team on and they were rewarded after Trent Alexander-Arnold whipped in a cross onto Mohamed Salah 's head which Hugo Lloris could only palm into the path of Toby Alderweireld and then watch helplessly as the ball trickled across the line to deliver Liverpool's 90th-minute winner.

That goal put the Reds back on top of the table - clear by two points with the pressure firmly on Pep Guardiola's men.

"For me, when we scored [to make it] 2-1, it was relief as well. It was not like bouncing around and stuff like that," Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com. "It was relief.

"I think first half, of course, we deserved it. Second half was an open game with 25 minutes better [for] Tottenham. But they have the quality, so that's what you have to expect and accept as well.

"I have to say, I thought the crowd was unbelievable, really unbelievable. They were not nervous, that's good.
