Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford this month, with the 27-year-old's contract situation still up in the air.
Bamford, who finished the 2020/21 campaign as Leeds' top scorer with 17 goals in all competitions, has recently entered the final 12 months of his existing deal at Elland Road and is valued at £19.8million on Transfermarkt.
According to the Telegraph, the English forward is 'on the radar' of Spurs, as Fabio Paratici looks to add some attacking support to play alongside Harry Kane at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
However, Leeds are said to be hopeful that they can reach an agreement with Bamford over an extension to his contract in Yorkshire.
The Whites striker received plenty of praise, from some pretty big names, last season as he made a name for himself in the Premier League.
One of those figures that lauded Bamford was Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who described the qualities of the Leeds number nine as "rare".
Speaking prior to the Reds' clash with Leeds earlier in the year, Klopp said: "Top player, Bamford.
"I can remember before the season I heard on talkSPORT that people said, 'Leeds need a proper goalscorer, Bamford is not good enough'.
"I am so happy that he could prove them wrong, he is an exceptional player, perfect.
"The work rate is outstanding and still playing the football he plays on top of that and scoring goals, that’s rare.
"They have a lot of interesting players but Bamford I’m happy for him, don’t know him obviously but it’s a nice career, a little bit later than others but still very impressive."
Tottenham could look to sign Bamford this month, but they are also interested in Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez.
football.london confirmed earlier in the month that Spurs had agreed a fee with Inter for Martinez, believed to be in excess of €60million (£51million), but the deal is complicated because of the Italian champions recently allowing Romelu Lukaku to leave and join Chelsea.
