Liverpool's 2020/21 fixture list has started to take shape after the FA and EFL confirmed key dates and changes for the League Cup and FA Cup respectively.
The Reds' League Cup campaign will get underway at the third-round stage on the midweek of Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 September, with the fourth round fixtures taking place the following midweek.
Taking a hiatus until December, the quarter-finals are then scheduled for December 22 and 23 before the semi-finals on January 5 and 6 with the EFL confirming that two-legged semi-finals have been scrapped from the competition, with the side drawn first hosting the game.
The final will then take place at Wembley on February 28.
Meanwhile, the FA have confirmed there will be no FA Cup replays this season "in order to assist in easing pressure on the football schedule" as a result of fixture congestion in a truncated because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Jurgen Klopp has long been a critic of two-legged League Cup semi-finals and FA Cup replays, and will no doubt be happy with both changes.
Liverpool 's FA Cup campaign is scheduled to get underway at the third round stage on the weekend of Saturday 9 January, 2021 with the final taking place at at Wembley on Saturday 15 May.
