Jurgen Klopp moved to clarify an incident that saw him admonish a member of his backroom staff in Liverpool's 2-0 win at Chelsea on Sunday.
After referee Paul Tierney had shown Andreas Christensen a red card on the cusp of half time at Stamford Bridge, an unnamed member of the travelling contingent audibly celebrated the decision from the official.
Klopp could be heard loudly shouting: "“Are you crazy? We never ever do that, ok?”
The Liverpool manager dismissed suggestions it was someone on the playing staff and attempted to play down the flashpoint shortly before the break in west London.
"It was not one of my subs, it was another member of staff," Klopp said after the game.
"And I told him already what I thought about it and I am fine with that. But in the moment, it is not something I want to speak of."
Two goals from Sadio Mane after the restart did the damage for the 10-man Blues after Klopp had brought on new signing Thiago Alcantara for his Premier League debut.
The Spain international impressed against the hosts in midfield but Klopp also reserved a word of praise for Fabinho who excelled in defence as a makeshift centre-back alongside Virgil van Dijk.
Klopp added: "We signed Thiago for different reasons and only one of them is against deep defending sides.
"We've improved in that department a lot I have to say with all the players who were already here, but yes, it is something that suits him, it is natural for him, so I like that.
"That is one reasons of a lot [why we signed him]. And Fabinho, yes! If Sadio wouldn't have scored two goals I think Fab would be a proper contender for Man of the Match.
"I loved his performance, he was outstanding. With the ball and the defending as well, it was a proper performance."
