'There might be something' - Jurgen Klopp makes Liverpool transfer admission

Jurgen Klopp has refused to rule out adding to his squad, as the start of the Premier League approaches.

Ibrahima Konate remains the only new arrival this summer, with the Reds having secured his services from RB Leipzig back in May.

Instead, the Reds have sold several squad players, including Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic, having all but recouped Konate’s £36m fee.

Despite the club’s title rivals securing record deals, Jurgen Klopp has said that he is happy with his squad, but admitted that more new signings remain a possibility.

Speaking after Liverpool’s draw with Athletic Bilbao on Sunday, he said, "I am very happy with the squad, but it doesn't mean that we don't look at the market.

"We have a big squad and there might be something happening until the end of the transfer window, but I cannot say anything about that at the moment."

Lionel Messi admits Liverpool regret as Barcelona great confirms exit

Lionel Messi confessed that he's still not over Liverpool’s historic Champions’ League win over Barcelona in 2019.

The Argentine great held a press conference to confirm his departure from the Spanish club on Sunday, where he revealed not winning another European Cup was one of his biggest regrets.

Jurgen Klopp’s side overturned a three-goal deficit in the semi-final at Anfield two years ago, with braces from Gini Wijnaldum and Divock Origi securing a famous 4-0 win.

Liverpool went on to lift their sixth European Cup that year, but Messi admitted that failing to win another Champions’ League title with Barcelona was a huge disappointment.

“We got knocked out in the semi-final against Liverpool, which stopped us getting to another final”, he said.

“There could have been a time where we won another Champions League, but that’s football."
