Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group retain the hope that he can turn around the Reds' drastic slump in form.
The Reds have lost their last five home matches - an unwanted club record - as their awful 2021 continues to see them tumble down the table.
Having started the year on top of the league, Liverpool went into this weekend's Premier League action down in seventh place in the table, and will host Fulham on Sunday.
Klopp will be desperate to see his side turn their form around against the relegation-threatened visitors, but having lost home matches against Burnley, Brighton, Manchester City, Everton and Chelsea in the past two months, he knows that morale has slumped around the club.
“We all expect more from us – to be honest," said Klopp on Friday.
"We’re pretty realistic about the things we do and I don’t feel that the team are standing alone in the fire – I’m not sure whether that’s the right saying or not! It’s just how it is in England – yes the players have interviews of course but the situation is that nobody else above me in the club speaks.
“In Germany, typically the CEO, president or the sporting director gives an interview and faces questions such as ‘Is he the right coach still?’ and all of these kind of things – and then the manager is already half way out of the door.”
“The situation within the club, it is pretty clear.
"The owners want me to sort the situation and I want to sort this situation together with all of the players – that’s the plan.”
