Jurgen Klopp confirms Liverpool injury situation as two key Manchester City men ruled out

Jurgen Klopp confirmed Liverpool face no fresh injury concerns ahead of the match against Manchester City.

The champions travel to the Etihad Stadium to take on Pep Guardiola's men tomorrow evening.

Yesterday it was confirmed Joel Matip will miss the rest of the campaign with a foot injury.

The defender told the club website: "This season I will not be back on the pitch but for next season, I hope I’m going to be quite early a direct help for the team."

Klopp was asked in his press conference today about whether any "changes or injuries" will impact his team selection for City.

The boss said: "Not yet. Nothing. The one with Joel [Matip] you know. That's not nice.

"But that is all for the moment."

James Milner missed the 4-0 win against Crystal Palace with a hamstring issue after he was forced into an early exit during the Merseyside derby.

But training pictures released in recent days appeared to show he is back in action and could possibly be in contention.

Xherdan Shaqiri has not played since a very brief runout against Spurs back in January.

He was also seen taking part in sessions with the rest of the team at Melwood this week.

For City, Sergio Aguero is still on the sidelines with a knee injury and Fernandinho remains suspended following his red card against Chelsea.
