Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp charged by FA following chaotic scenes and referee accusations
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been charged for alleged improper conduct by the Football Association (FA) after comments he made about referee Paul Tierney.
The FA released a statement on Tuesday afternoon confirming the decision - and stated Klopp has until Friday to respond to allegations that his comments about the referee 'imply bias, and/or question the integrity of the referee, and/or are personal/offensive, and/or bring the game into disrepute'.
It comes after the incident in question against Tottenham on Sunday afternoon. Following a pulsating match, Klopp celebrated wildly in front of fourth official John Brooks, after Liverpool forward Diogo Jota came off the bench to grab a dramatic late winner.
Klopp went on to accuse Tierney of uttering an inappropriate comment, before questioning what the referee has against his side due to previously contested high-profile decisions.

Jurgen Klopp has apologised for the way in which he acted during the 4-3 win over Tottenham.
Liverpool manager Klopp has been heavily criticised by several former Premier League officials including Keith Hackett, Mark Clattenburg and Peter Walton over the way in which he celebrated in the face of fourth official John Brooks before accusing Paul Tierney of uttering an inappropriate comment and questioning what Tierney has against his side.
Speaking about the incident at his press conference on Tuesday afternoon, Klopp told reporters: "The whole situation shouldn't have happened at all. It was out of emotion, anger and that is never a good leader for the things you do. I was still angry, which led to the way I celebrated."
