Jurgen Klopp bolsters backroom staff as Liverpool complete Arsenal swoop

Arsenal head of physiotherapy Chris Morgan has rejoined Liverpool's backroom staff ahead of next season.

He will take up the role as first-team physiotherapist at Anfield and has travelled with the club on the squad’s pre-season training camp in Austria to begin work.

Morgan spent 10 years with the Reds before leaving in 2016, having worked his way up from reserve team physiotherapist to become the club’s head of physiotherapy.

He since had spells with the Football Association, LA Galaxy and Crystal Palace before moving to Arsenal two years ago.

Liverpool knew for some time that Christopher Rohrbeck, a member of the first-team physio staff, would be returning to Germany at the end of the current campaign.

And now Morgan has completed his swap from the Emirates to Anfield in order to bolster Jurgen K lopp's backroom staff for next season.

Morgan was popular among the playing staff during his previous time at the club having forged a good relationship with skipper Jordan Henderson and vice-captain James Milner. He was also close to Anfield legend Steven Gerrard.
