Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool send emotional message to NHS and health workers around the world

Liverpool have sent an emotional message to health workers around the globe as the world continues to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

The Reds sent out a video message shortly after much of the United Kingdom came together to applaud NHS workers at 8pm.

Liverpool's message led by manager Jurgen Klopp, who thanked health workers and praised the "unbelievable" job they are doing in the face of the global crisis.

He said: "Hello. Myself and the staff of LFC would like to take this opportunity to deliver a message to say thank you to all the incredible people who work in the health services, all the health workers, if you want, out there.

"It's unbelievable what you are doing and on behalf of all of us at LFC I would like to say thank you. Or how we would say in Germany, vielen dank."

Klopp's message was followed by first team players and staff from both Liverpool and Liverpool FC Women, including captain Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Mohamed Salah, Pep Lijnders, Vicky Jepson and many others working for the club.
