Jurgen Klopp had addressed claims he has a “rivalry” with Chelsea boss Frank Lampard ahead of Liverpool's London trip.
The German will come face-to-face with the Blues manager at Stamford Bridge as both sides look to build on their Premier League opening wins.
It comes just two months after they came together at Anfield, with the Reds winning it 5-3 to lift the title.
But the evening was marred by a clash between the managers on the sideline before Trent Alexander-Arnold’s incredible first-half free kick.
After berating the Liverpool boss in a expletive rant at the empty stadium, Klopp said the Chelsea manager continued the argument after the game.
But the German has now put to bed any animosity he has for Lampard ahead of their meeting at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Reds boss said: "Between Frank and me there is absolutely nothing - I admired him and loved him as a player and now he is doing a really good job as a coach.
"So I can't help you with some 'rivalry' between us, we will obviously be rivals on Sunday but apart from that it's all good.
"We are different clubs, leading in a different way, that's how it is - we invest what we earn and sometimes we invest before we earn but it's still based on these kind of things and it's not like this for other clubs.
"Whatever they do though I am completely fine with that - they can all do what they want and it's a free world. We have our way of dealing with the club."
It comes days after Lampard responded to the Reds boss’ comments that Chelsea are a “different kind of club”.
"I was less annoyed with it - I found it more, slightly amusing," said Lampard in quotes reported by BBC Sport.
"Liverpool's story - it's a fantastic story of a club over four-and-a-half, five years that Jurgen Klopp's been there that have managed to get recruitment right to a really high level.
"The reality is probably that othe than Leicester, most clubs that win the Premier League have recruited well and recruited at a high level money-wise.
"You can go through the Liverpool players: [Virgil] Van Dijk, Alisson, Fabinho, [Naby] Keita, [Sadio] Mane, [Mohamed] Salah, incredible players, that came at a very high price.
"Liverpool have done it, and they've done it over a period of time."
