Jurassic World 3 gets cast of original movie classic back together for first time

Life will not be contained...

Jurassic Park fans will be elated to hear that the third film in the Jurassic World trilogy will feature the return of three iconic characters.

Jurassic World 3 director Colin Trevorrow, who directed the first Jurassic World film, confirmed at an event hosted by Collider that the film would see the returns of Sam Neill , Laura Dern , and Jeff Goldblum in "sizeable roles".

Neill last played a major role as Dr. Alan Grant in the franchise with Jurassic Park III, where Golden Globe-winner Laura Dern had also returned as Dr. Ellie Sattler in a small appearance.

The film had featured the heartbreaking twist that the pair did not get together romantically and Ellie had married and settled down with children - but not with Alan.

Could this new film remedy that?

Meanwhile, Goldblum had last played his role as roguish Dr. Ian Malcolm in a small cameo appearance in the 2018 film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, but his role will be expanded in the third film.

The previous instalment ended on a cliffhanger that saw a horde of dinosaurs escape into the world at the conclusion of the film.

Where will the sequel take them?

And how will the original cast members of the franchise mix with newer stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard ?

Jurassic World 3 is released in cinemas on June 11, 2021.
