'Jurassic Park' actor found guilty of engaging in a lewd act with girl, 13

Aug. 27--An actor and acting coach who appeared in "Jurassic Park" faces up to eight years in prison after he was convicted Wednesday of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in the Santa Monica Mountains, prosecutors said.

After deliberating for a day, jurors found Cameron Thor, 55, guilty of one count of engaging in a lewd act with a child, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.

Prosecutor Simone Shay said the girl took private acting classes at Thor's home in Agoura Hills. In March 2009, Thor drove the girl to the mountains and sexually assault her, Shay said.
