The folk behind the popular west coast whisky Jura have taken quite the pop at Glasgow in their new advert.
A large advertising board on Buchanan Street was spotted today showing the advert, which unfavourably compares Glasgow with the Isle of Jura and was more than a little shady.
The advert reads: "Say goodbye to scabby pigeons and crowds of shoppers; say hello to Jura".

It shows an image of Glasgow's exciting, bustling, vibrant city centre and Jura's quiet (too quiet? Who could possibly say...) countryside.
And there we were thinking west coasters had to stick together!
We'll give them this one. It definitely gave us a good chuckle.
But we're not worried. It'll take more than a cheeky advert or two to shake our knowledge that Glasgow's the best place in the world!
And to prove that there's no hard feelings...if the folk at Jura whisky fancy a wee tour of Glasgow, we're more than happy to change their minds.
