Junior side Cambuslang Rangers hit with £26K winding up order threat

West Region Championship outfit have been plunged into a financial crisis amid an unpaid bill claim.

The club released a statement on their social media pages stating that if they did not agree to pay a sum of £26,000 they face a winding up order.

In the post, the committee say they "refute this" and is "in no way" owe any sum of money relating to the club.

They added: "The club intend to fight this all the way and we will be as open and transparent as we can with all members and supporters throughout this unnecessary process."

The news comes just a year after a host of players and staff left the club in the wake of manager

At that time the described the club’s situation as “grave”.

On Twitter the club added: "Unfortunately here we go again with this nonsense."
