Junior quarterback Jake Fromm to get more say in Georgia offense

With two full years as a starter under his belt, it appears that Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm will have more input in the Dawgs’ offense in the upcoming season.

Per 247 Sports, coach Kirby Smart said, “He understands what we’re trying to do offensively. Any time you’ve got a three-year starter he can give you input on things he likes about the offense, things he dislikes and things he thinks he can be successful. That input is helpful, it’s always helpful.”

Even without his own input in the offense, Fromm has had an excellent Georgia career thus far. After a breakout freshman season, Fromm improved last year, completing 67.3 percent of his passes for 2,749 yards, 30 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He’s also stepped up in big moments like the 2018 Rose Bowl Game and the 2017 SEC Championship.

Fromm’s decision-making has been stellar during his career as a Bulldog and his input should help in smoothing James Coley’s transition to offensive coordinator. Coley has previously worked with Fromm as the Georgia quarterbacks coach and now figures to have even more of a working relationship with him in the coming season.
