RAIPUR: In a first, Badminton Association of India (BAI) is holding trials of junior badminton players in Raipur, the state capital of Chhattisgarh, from August 12 to 15, said BAI general secretary Sanjay Mishra.
“For the first time, Chhattisgarh will host a national level trial of shuttlers who will be picked for the international events including junior world championship. Besides, the selected players will represent the nation at Tops Development and national camps. Around 50 junior shuttlers from different parts of India are expected to participate,” said Mishra.
The shuttlers whose ranking in the world junior badminton list in singles, doubles and mixed doubles is between 1 and 20 will participate in the trial.
Apart from this, the first 4 players of singles and first 2 players of doubles and mixed doubles.
