The Great North Run is the biggest - and, we think, the best - half-marathon in the world.
The children's versions of the main event which take place on the Saturday of Great North Run weekend have gained huge popularity with North East families, and places sell out every year.
The Junior and Mini Great North Run events give kids aged between 3 and 16 the chance to be part of the North East's biggest single calendar event.

Many families run to raise cash for local charities, while others just want to be part of the experience.
The junior fun-runners taking part can check their times online as long as their race chip crosses the finish line by using the Great Run Company's search tool which will be live with 2021's results as soon as possible on Saturday.
You don't need to know an individual's race number as the Great Run site can be used by simply searching by surname.
It shows each competitor's name, bib number, running club where applicable, position in the race and finish time.
You can also search using our widget below from the point that the results are available online, using the runner's bib number.
The website features an archive for all the Great North Run events, including the Junior, Mini, 5k and 10k races.
