An eight-year-old girl is fighting for her life in hospital after a horror crash at Perth Motorplex in Kwinana Beach on Saturday afternoon.
Police said she was competing in a junior drag race event when her vehicle crashed into a wall shortly after midday.
The girl was rushed to Rockingham Hospital before being taken to Princess Margaret Children's Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
The track was closed for several hours while police investigated.
Detectives have seized the vehicle the young girl was driving.
The venue opened to the public again at about 5:00pm and races resumed.
